PROPOSED ’BUS SERVICE FINE SIGHT-SEEING DISTRICT. . A special meeting of the South Wellington Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association was held last night. Mr Bedford, the manager of the Wellington ’Bus Company, Wakefield street was in attendance. A ’bus service for the district was discussed, and final arrangements will' be made in a day or two. It is expected that the new ’bus service will commence at the beginning of next week. The tun to this district as a sight-seeing tour is second to none in Wellington. A bird’s-eye view of Island Bay is obtained on the run up. From the summit, Mount Albert, on the left is Pencarrow lighthouse and Cook Strait, in front and on the right is the South Island in the distance.. On the run downhill a bird’s-eye view is obtained of Lyall Bay arid district. Then beautiful Houghton Bay, with 'ts breakers thundering down on the sandy beach', is very bewitching. The safest bathing in Wellington can he indulged in at Princess Bay, one minute from ’bus stop. Full narticnlars will be advertised in all the daily papers shortly.
