BODY FOUND IN RIVER

OLD MAN’S END. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, January 26. The body of an old man, John Maloney, aged 80, was found in the Waihopai river this afternoon. Moloney resided with his daughter in South Invercargill, and had been missing since Monday morning. The police searched all that nightwithout success. The deceased had been in the habit of going off by himself. An inquest will be held.
