CRICKET CUP MATCH

PRESS DEFEAT STAGE GAME ON KELBURN PARK. The opening match of the series between representatives of the Stage and the Press,- for tfre Hodgson Cup, was played at Keiburn westerday afternoon, when, after an enjoyable oneinnings game, the Press gained the day by a margin of 47 runs. The Stage, who were represented by a number of the leading male members of the “Leave It To Jane” Company, put a solid eleven in the field. Neville Towne, who captained the side, showed great form with the ball, capturing seven wickets for 55 runs. .
