BRITISH OFFICER IN RUSSIA SPYING DURING THE REVOLUTION CAUGHT AFTER SEVEN YEARS Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received DecemDer 16, 8.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 16. - An unrevealed drama lies behind the advertised death notice stating that Captain Sidney Reilly, M.C., beloved husband of Pepita, was killed near the village of Allekul, Russia, by G.P.U. troops (the notorious Cheka police.) The “Daily Express” states that' Reilly was the son of an Irish father and a Russian mother, and he established the first Russian airdrome in 1910. He took a commission in the Royal Air Force m 1917, though he was over military age, and subsequently he undertook hazardous intelligence work in Germany. Later he was in the Secret Servioe in Russia, and during the height of the Bolshevik terror he becalne an official in the Soviet organisation. Be was outlawed in 1918, and condemned to be shot if found in Bolshevik territory. He maried Pepita, widow of diaries Haddon Chambers, the playwright, in 1923,
