HIS MAJESTY’S
A DELIGHTFUL REVUE. At His Majesty’s this week a splendid programme of vaudeville items and a delightful revue by the Moon-Morris Company is being staged. “Wit and Wisdom” is the title of the revue, _ and is a whirling medley of jazz. Furious fun was the keynote, and from tife initial introduction by “The Showman” in an original prologue, to the extravagant, fast-mov-ing finale by the “1925 Minstrels,” there was not a dull moment. California was idealised in “The Orange Grove,” a pretty scena in which Ena Gordon, William Beresford, and the company gave a spirited indication of new the evenings are spent by youths a I*l maidens. '“The Bloodstained Hand” is a cleverly constructed farce, with George Moon, as the out-late husband reoeiving a hot mustard hath and a plaster. The next scene is the “morning after,” when a will discovered in an old boot in the attic smooths over the tiff in the excitement of a hunt for o secreted Spanish treasure. A specially enjoyable and novel scene is a cameo of yesteryear, depicting the gallants of the past stepping momentarily from their seclusion and joining Wm. Beresford in his number. The comedy is great—the show is full of it: the jokes are clean and clever, and the singing is pleasant; while the general setting and tonw of tne performance stamp it as a most popular feature for the ensuing few weeks. _ Among the supports are the Novelty Musicians, the Weatherleys, who provide a novel turn. The Atlantic Girls the twisting sisters, also appear for the first time, and bring with them a remarkably fine contortionist act. Enid Parker pleases with her violin selections and her winning personality, while Charles Sherman is well established with his songs ..at the piano. This week we say farewell to Morris and Cowley, who provide plenty of laughter, a little sadness, and some good, sensible harmony which have been cleverly interwoverf so as to make them a senarate entity in burlesque and vocal work.
