GYE’S CANCER THEORY

DOCTORS UNDERTAKE TEST ' INOCULATED WITH LIVING GERM —MINUS THE CHEMICAL AGENT By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. CReoeived December 8, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 7. It is understood that half a dozen doctors have been inoculated with the living cancer germ, minus the mysterious chemical agent without which it is harmless, according to Dr. Gye’s theory, which inoculations are designed to test.

None of these inoculated has yet shown signs of cancer. In a cable published yesterday it was stated that the discoveries of Dr. W. E. Gye and Mr J. E. Barnard in relation to cancer stb being pursued with success. It is understood that chickenß and even mammals, inoculated with, the cancer germ, developed the diseujo within a very short time. Other mammals have been inoculated with the organism and thus rendered immune to subsequent inoculation <f live bacteria. . Efforts are now being directed to the isolation of the chemical agent in company with which the micro-organ-ism of cancer operates. The presence of such an agent has been disclosed.
