POISON BERRIES DANGER
Twenty-two boys from St. Peter’s Boman Catholic Home at Gainford, Dari lington, while out walking, ate pea pods, beetroot, clover, apples and gooseberries, which they found on their way. Afterwards the majority of the lads were taken violently ill. One (aged 11 years) died next morning, and another boy of l'J years succumbed later. Some form of poisoning is suspected.
