AIRMAN’S PHENOMENAL SPEED TINY ’PLANE USED. Australian and N.Z. Cnblo Association NEW YORK, September 20. A. L. Williams made a remarkable performance at Long Island'. Using a tiny airplane, he covered five miles at a speed of 302 miles an hour. He travelled so fast, he declared, that when he put his hand out the wind was so strong that the experience was like forcing one’s hand into the mouth of a spurting fire hydrant.
