THE COMING EVENT. Prize schedules for this event are now available and will be found of interest to constant exhibitors os well as to those who may contemplate venturing into the ring at this well-known leading show. It is a comprehensive list which provides classes for all purebred stock, ring competitions, art and technical and public schools work, art needlework, oookerj T , photography, etc. Palmerston North being a natural centre and provided with the finest show grounds in the Dominion, has naturally attracted the best stock to its show rings, besides having had for many years past Hie finest jumping competition's possible. The ring time-table has been thoroughly revised with the object of eliminating all tedious waits between events. In view of the rapidly increasing importance of the pig industry and the success of the Now Zealand Pig Breeders’ Association there is » general tightening up of conditions. Two new classes are being tried out this year in Berkshire* and Tamwnrtbs. These are for boar and three of hfs male progeny*with a silver cup each tacked on to the prize-moneys. Vat cuttle, sheep and lambs have nil been thoroughly revved this year. the. export ! classes for lambs being a big feature in ! the section.
