1925 MOVIE BALL
MAGNIFICENT DECORATIONS FOR A DESERVING CAUSE. “Colourful, gorgeous, magnificent.” These were the words used by discriminating critics in describing the 1924 Movie Ball. This year we feel that all the adjectives in the dictionary would be unable to do justice to tho beauty of the 1925 Movie Ball, to be held on Wednesday next at the Town Hall. This yearly function has established itself as the acme of beauty and originality, and to the movie folk who have arranged the ball, in aid of the Karitane fund, all support, should begiven. Nothing has been left undone to make the function a successful one. The decorations will surpass anything previously attempted, lighting effects, gorgeous stage setting, tableaux, novelty dances, and specialty acts all combining to form one glorious kaleidoscope of entertainment. Two excellent dance orchestras will cater for the requirements of dancers. Excellent arrangements have been made for the transportation of patrons to their homes after the ball. ’Buses will be available for all suburbs, including Petono and Lower Hutt. The box plan for the gallerv is open at tho Bristol, and is filling very rapidly. Intending patrons are advised to secure their reservations immediately. Dance tickets may be obtained from the Bristol, Norman Aitken’s, all theatres and film exchanges, Information and inquiries should be mado to tbe lion, secretary, Mr T. Valois, Box 363, or ’phone 3445.
