NO “ARMS-GIVING”
The Rev. S. Roberts, vicar of Christ Church, Barnet, sugyjssted at the annual parochial meeting that some people resented the way some sidesmen performed their duties. “Perhaps thev don’t exactly put their arms round the ladies’ waists when showing them into seats,” he said, “but they need to be very careful, as that sort of thing is not liked.” The vicar also complained that 6eat holders did not look very nice at people whom they found occupying their seats. He suggested that all seats be free at Sunday evening services.
