CONSERVATIVES’ POLICY GRANT OF £1,000,000. Australian and N Cnble Association LONDON, July 2. Mr Stanley Baldwin, Prime Minister, addressed 30,000 Conservatives at Oullumpton, including delegates from every constituency between Bristol and Penzande. He devoted his speech mainly to the subject of agriculture. He insisted that the grant of £l,ouo, ooo to help the production of Empire foodstuffs was made to enable Empire goods to replace foreign. . “It is our desire and intention,!’ he said, “that the largest possible prdportion of our importations shall be from the Dominions, and not from foreign countries. We do not desire to displace a pound of our own stuff, but every increase in the Dominions’ stock 6ent to Britain means more settlers, and therefore more purchasers of our goods, and better trade at Home.”
