Dame Millicent Fawcett, the pioneer of woman’s suffrage iii England, has resigned tho chairmanship of the "Woman's Leader" owing to its support of the policy of family endowment. She writes in Hie current issue of the ' Woman's Lender" that the general effect of this policy "would be to relieve parents oi the legal obligation to maintain their children, f regard this resnonsibility as twice blessed, blessed to the children and blessed to the parents, and providing ono of the most valuable educational influences in many lives." The pioneer suffragist is almost seventynine, and is the widow of the late Mr Henry Fawcett, the blind PostmasterGeneral.
