PROGRESS ASSOCIATION MEETS

Last evening, at Khandallah, was held the annual meeting of the Khandallah Progress Association, Mr J. N. Wallace presiding. In submitting the annual report, the chairman drew special attention to the splendid progressive activities of the members of the retiring executive. Regarding the work of laying down tho water supply, the work was expected to be completed shortly. As a result of the activities of the association improvements had been brought about in the railway timetable and the postal service. A ’hug service had also been inaugurated for the Onslow district. ■

Concerning the question of the nearest loute to Wellington by road,, this matter had been brought before His Worship the Mayor (Mr C. J. B. Norwood). who had promised to give it consideration.
