OLD BOYS

BACKS WILL BE STRONG

Old Boys are again strengthened this year by an influx of last year’s pupils of Wellington College. . Bailley and Grenfell, who were members of the first fifteen for three years, will be amongst the new members of the club. Bailley will very likely fill the place of Tait, a wing-three-quaiter, who has gone over to Athletic. I. Bromwell, a half-back in the days when Mark Nicholls was at College, has been transferred to Wellington, from the King Country, where he represented that district, and has joined the ranks of the Old Boys.

Bedell, Malcolm, and Mansfield will again be playing, and these three will form the nucleus of a good hack combination.

Hum. who displayed great promise as a forward last year, has fully recovered from his injury, but followers of the gamo will be sorry to hear that Ross McColl has decided, owing to a weak shoulder, to give the game best. Kelly, one of last year's players. *s’also retiring. Old Boys played the first game of the season on Saturday, when they showed good form. They are practising hard under arc lights in the Wellington College grounds, and promise to develop into a formidable combination.
