ELECTION OF MAYOR
BY CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS,
RATEPAYERS’ WISH,
EVANS BAY. RECLAMATION
At the meeting of the Wellington North Ratepayers’ Association tins week, the following resolution was passed:— “That this association strongly recommends that legislative power be obtained so that the councils of municipal corporations can elect their own mayors.” The meeting also resolved: “That this association is of opinion that in any scheme for reclamation at Evans Bay tho Harbour Board should make due provision for recreation grounds and for access by the public to the beach.”
