At a meeting of the Manawatu j Hunt Club, Mr D. B McEwen, the vice-president (who occupied the chair) made feeling reference to the loss the hunt had sustained hv the demis of Mr S. R. Lancaster. Deceased stated the speaker, had been a member since the inception of the hunt in 1909, having been a vice-president in Unit year. The following .year he had been appointed president, and had filled that office without interruption for lo years with the greatest credit to himself and with the utmost credit to Iho hunt. Mr L. H.
