On the final sale of the season at Wanganui Murray, Roberts report:— A total offering of about 10,000 bales was submitted to a good attendance of buyers. The wool catalogued consisted largely of J late shorn clips, many lots being heavy I conditioned and log-stained, and a good - portion seedy. Very few attractive lots j were in evidence, but such as they wore ! came under fairly spirited competition.! , Bradford operated freely, and the Conti- | 4 nent bought well on all suitable wools. ' Compared with last sale prices for beitoi grade wool showed a decline of up to about Id per lb, while shabby ami in i ■ ferior sorts sold at prices about egual to and in some cases rather better than lasi month's realisations. This, no doubt, was due to the Continent being interested in such wools. For the most pari pieces and skirtings catalogued were heavy in condition and showed a considerable amount of seed. The few lots of fine lambs wool shown were keenly competed for at prices slightly lower than last sale. We sold 78 per cent, of our! offering under the hammer.' ! Some of our prices are qi *ted below: — | Waipu, crossbred A 18d; P, crossbred E 17Jd; McD over f*. crossbred B T6sd, crossbred C 153 d; Waiau, crossbred ISidj: Ernscliffe.
