James Quinn, it wae stated, was under the influence of liquor when he committed the theft of a pair of trousers, valued at 7s od, the property of James Smith. He had been seen taking the trousers and was followed fs his lodgjngs, the stolen trousers being found in. the man's roqm. A fine of £2 was imposed, in default five days’ ipnprisonment. For failing to stop at a level crossing when a train was approaching, a finp pf £7 10s, with costs, was imposed upon a young man named William Morgan. Fpr allowing men to work upon up, satisfactory scaffolding, Ernest Robert Husband and Cecil Husband were fined £lO and costs.
