DUNEDIN, December 19. . The Dunedin branch of the Locomotive Engineers, Firemen, and Cleaners’ Association has passed a' resolution against the reintroduotion of unsuitable Nerw'Zealand coal on the railways. The resolution contends .that the use of lignite be eliminated, urging principally tho risk of the travelling public through the engineers’, attention possibly straying in the,endeavour to keep steami up with inferior coal.
