SAFETY AT SEA
LIFEBOAT WITH WIRELESS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received December 17, 9.35 p.m.) LONDON, December 16. Largely as the outcome of the Trevessa disaster, a special lifeboat, with a wireless plant, has been perfected, and a proportion of such lifeboats must be installed in every passenger ship after July next. Tho apparatus includes a petrol engine, contained in a box 4ft high and 2jft square. A special feature is a direction indicator, with a range of 100 miles.
