EDUCATION BOARD
YESTERDAY’S MEETING. 7.WDTJTINE BUSINESS. Mr T. Forsyth was in tho chair at yesterday’s meeting of the Wellington Education Board. Those present were: Messrs C. I. Harknoss, L. 0. Atkins, G. T. London, J. Stonehouse, A. J. Wlhito, D. McOalliim, E. H. Penny, R. A. Wright. The statement of finance at December, 1924, showed the net car-edit balance at £2223 19s Id. Rcceipte from January Ist to November 30th were £304,261 3s 4d, payments £301,910 lSe 2d. The debit Balance on current account at November 31st was £2126 9s Id, and the deposit in the Savings Bazik £2OOO. Tlie Education Department wrote approving a proposal to hold special classes, conducted by the Y.M.C.A., in a health camp, with departmental' assistance. A grant of £4O for a site at Kekerangu and survey of this was approved by the department. The grant of £709 for a separate room at htataitai was approved. The board decided to intimate to all head teachers its desire that regular tusQ bo made of. tho term report forms provided by the hoard.
