Union Bank of Australia at £l4 5s (ex rights) on the rdoraing call, business in the afternoon being rather slack. Government loans remained much as on Tuesday, there being a good offering, but only one buyer forthcoming. War Bonds (1838) increased by 5s in sellers' quotations but buyers were not prepared to accept. National Bank sellers appeared yesterday at £6 16s 6d, but £6 14s 6d was the previous day’s limit for buyers, and no offers -were made yesterday. There was no change in other bank shares. Sellers of Wellington Investment T. and A shares reduced by Id' yesterday, which was still 9d above buyers' prices. Wellington Trust Loan sellers reduced by 2s 6d on Tuesday's offer, but found no bidders. Huddart-Parker (ord.) buyers offered an advance of Id oh Tuesday, but sellers remained firm. They met slower competition, and there were frequent withdrawals. The recent top prices were not obtainable for merinos. Australian and N.Z.
