RIOTING AT LUCKNOW
RELIGIOUS STRIFE AGAIN. TROOPS CALLED OUT. Reuter’s Telegram. DELHI, September 14. The strained relations between Hindus and Mohammendans are a serious menace to the present-day peace of India. Within the past few weeks serious riots, arising out of religious troubles, have occurred in Delhi, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Poona, and Kohat,_ Lucknow is now the danger zone. As the result of a rumour that a Eraihmin boy had been forcibly converted to Islam, rioting occurred there on Friday night, and still continues. As in the other places, troops have been called out. Already four people have been killed, and a large number injured.
