FRENCH BANK
HIGH RATE OF INTEREST. Reuter's Teleeram. PARIS, September 12. The bank rate has been raised to 7 per eent. —the highest figure touched since 1873. ADVANCES AFFECTED RATE OF INTEREST RAISED. (Received September 14, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, September 13. The French bank rate remains at 6 per cent., but the Bank of France has raised the interest on advances from 7 to 8 per cent.
