TWO-YEAR-OLD PARADE

THREE DIVISIONS AT ELLERSLIE. Following ano additional details':— Great interest centred in the two-ycar-oh! parade a.- Fllcrriie, judging by the large number of spectators that assembled to see the youngsters sprinted over three furlongs The weather was fine, and the course in excellent order. The Hon. E. W. Alison won one event, and was second in another, his representative being beaten by the English-b Ted Ballymoy, which ranka as a three-vodr-okl in New Zealand. Master Mind, which lias been showing promise in his training work at Ellerslie, captured the third division. A striking feature was the fact that imported horsee finished first and second in the first two divisions, and third in the concluding event. Mr C. O’Connor acted as starter, and the juveniles for the most part left the barrier well Details are: FIRST DIVISION B o (imp.) by Oiceroi—Elsie Hart (Hon. Eh W. . Rosen), Bizarre (Goldfinch), Merry Damon (J. Buchanan), Jeanette (Beer). The Ciceroi oolt and Gold Acre were in front all the way, the former winning by four lengths, with the Romeo —Cadence gelding a head away, third. Then, came Bizarre, Merry Damon, Romantic, and Jeanette. Time, 39 3-5 sec. SECOND DIVISION. Ballymoy (imp.), by Sonnina — Ballykill (Mr H. Friedlander) —H. Goldfinch 1 B f (imp.), by Flying King—Vaiiga (Hon. E. W. Alison) —Me--2 Br g (imp.), by Trillion —Pretty Nell (Mr O. G. Macmdoe) —VV. Bagby . 3 Also started.—Br f by Swift Flight —Cherry Roe (L. Manson), oh b by Potoa—Miss Modesty (Orange), Char is (E. Manson), Gold Mint (Pickens). Mr Alison's filly and Ballymoy were quickest into their stride, while the Swift Flight filly was alow to more.. The first-named led into the straight, and had drawn out dear half-way down the running, whore Ballymoy challenged, and in a good finish just got up in time to win by a head. The Trillion gelding was three lengths further back, third, followed by Gharis, Gold Mint, the Potoa filly, and the Swift Flight filly. Time, 39 2-5 sec. THIRD DIVISION. Master Mind, br g, hv Lucullus— Avon Park (Mrs j. Hughes)— J. O’Shea 1 Samson, oh c, by Absurd—Moira Maohreo (Mr T. Impey)—J. Buchanan 2 Piet (imp.), bra, by Magpie —My» ■ tic Light (Mr J. Williamson) —iH. Goldfinch 3 Also started.—Little Billee (E. Manson), Odd Leaf (Beer), Thurcby (Jones). Master Mind was the first to show out, while Gold leaf was slow to move. Master Mind was first to turn for home, with Samson, and Piet next In the run to the post Master Hind beat Samson easily by three lengths, with Piet two lengths away third Then followed Little Billee and Tirursby together, with Gold Leaf last, Time, 40 4-ssec. It is stated that the namee Samson and Gold Leaf (Limond—Holy rood) have been disallowed by the New Zealand Racing Conference, and other appellations will have to Ipe selected.
