BUILDERS’ STRIKE
OVER 100,000 MEN NOW IDLE. SOME EMPLOYERS GIVE WAY. Reuter’s LONDON, July 7. It is estimated; in trade union oirdea that 'between 100,000 and 160,000 operative builders have so far struck. The position in London is stated to' be more serious -than anywhere eke. It is understood that some employers have conceded 1 their operatives their minimum, demands, of a halfpenny an hour increase in pay and a graduated week.
