WORKING WELL
STEAM SHOVEL EXCAVATING. Preliminary work on the Wallace street tramway extension is proceeding apace. The steam shovel is working very well, and is now operating on a good face of considerable depth. It is stole to handle with great ease the numerous old tins embedded there which would 1 have given considerable trouble to pick and shovel men.
