W.A. STATE ELECTION
FOUR PARTIES IN CONTEST. FARMERS DIVIDED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. (Reoeived March 23, 5.5 p.m.) PERTH, March 23. Great interest was taken in the State elections yesterday, and tho polling was heavy. Four parties were in the field —Nationalist, Labour, Ministerial Country, and Opposition Country. There were also 14 Independents. In all, there were 120 candidates for 50 seats. The chief issue at stake is whether the Mitchell Nationalist Government retains She confidence of the electors in its immigration and land settlement schemes. The returns so far are too incomplete to indicate the result.
