PARTIES IN CONFERENCE. A HOPEFUL TURN. Reuter’s Telegram. (Received March 23, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 21. At a joint meeting of representatives of the ooal owners and miners, convened by Mr E. Sbinwell, Under-Secretary for Mines, the points at issue were discussed, and another meeting was arranged for March 26th, to enable the miners’ representatives to report fully upon the situation to a delegate conference on the same date. Both parties reported to Mr Shinwell what took place to-day: It is understood the situation has taken a hopeful turn.
