SERVANT GIRL’S LAPSE. LONDON, March 12. Margaret Legge, a domestic servant, aged 21, hn6 learned the lesson that jazz partners are not always to be trusted. Margaret was sentenced to-day to two months in the second division for the theft of jewels worth £1450 from her mistress. Her solicitoi explained that the girl was duped by a youth whom she met at a dance, and as the result of bis love-making and promise of marriage the girl was induced to commit the crime. When the girl handed over the jewels to her lover he eluded her at the railway station, and she then immediately made a confession.
