FAITH HEALING
GREAT BENEtFITS OF MISSION. ANGLICANS CONVINCED. At Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright SYDNEY, March 21. A. lengthy pastoral letter, signed by all the Anglican archbishops and bishops in the Commonwealth, has been issued to the clergy dealing with ministry of healing, which is founded on the personal experiences of the signatories of the healing mission in the respective dioceses. After referring to the widespread spiritual and physical benefits resulting from the mission and the general deepening of church life, the pastoral says: “We are convinced that the results point to the fact that spiritual forces are at work in response to the prayers of God’s children.’’ The pastoral further appeals for closer co-operation between the spiritual ministry of the Church and the medical profession, and says: “In what the mission has already achieved is a clear call to the Church to carry on the healing work which God hae begun.”
