The office of chairman of the Railway Wages Board, sot up to deal with a series of complaints and grievances recently plaocd before the Minister for Railways by a deputation from railwaymen and considered at a private conference between tho Minister and repreoentatives of tho service will, it is understood, bo held by Mr H. D. Acland, a well-known Christchurch barrister and solicitor.
