CHRISTCHURCH SALES. BUYERS OPERATE FREELY, ' Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. March 21. The Christchurch ram fair was concluded to-day, when fiock ewes (practically all Southdowns) were offered in the morning, and stud rams later in the day. Ewes sold at up to five guineas. There was a very keen demand for Corriedale rams, and a free sale of Southdowns and Fjnglish Leicesters, buyers operating from widely ecattred parts of the island in these classes. There was practically a complete clearance of Shropshires. Border Leicesters and Romneys were in poor request, particularly Romneys. Values wore—English Leicesters, 6 to 50 guineas; Border Leicester, 15 to 23 guineas; Romneys, 10 to 13 guineas; Corriedales, 124 to 105 guineas; Southdowns, 10 to 41 guineas; Shropshires, 19 to 82fc guineas; merinos, 8 to 10 guineas.
