ECLIPSE OF MOON

DUE NEXT MONTH. VISIBLE IN NEW ZEALAND. A total eclipse of the moon wilt take place on Thursday, February 21st next. Only narrowly on Thursday, as it will begin at 12.45 a.m. and continue for some six hours. The sun should be well up before the eclipse is properly over, and a total eclipse of the moon will rule for a long period (two hours at least). Belated wayfarers on Thursday morning should bear in mind the hour of the eclipse, and have no suspicions when they see the moon’s rim blotted out by the shadow of the earth. Hie greater part of the phenomenon will be visible in all parts of New Zealand.
