Y.M.C.A. BEAT WELLINGTON WESTBROOK MAKES 126. After playing a great uphill fight, Y.M.C.A. obtained a thr«*-p6iat win, over | Wellington by three wicketa and seven j runs on the first innings. At the call I of time on the previous day Wellington, after being at the wickets for almost the whole of the afternoon, compiled 431, while Y.M.C.A. had no wickets down for 30, with Francis J 7) and Sugden (18) the not out pair. This pair saw the first century registered before Francis fell to a catch by Marris off Coed, and then Westbrook joined Sugden. Another pro. Stable partnership followed, and after Sugden was bowlfm by Good, Cox helped to carry on the good work. When nis score was 27 he was beaten by one of Maris’s leg breaks. Bowyer partnered Westbrook, Who was now going Well, and the pair saw 251 up before they were separated. Then followed a great partner* ship betwen Murphy and Westbrook. The pair pu< on 159 'before Westbrook was at last bowled by Napier, with 128 to his credit. He had played good cricket. SoOn after Wellington's total was passed, and when stumps were drawn Y.M.C.A. had seven wickets down for 438. Murphy had 80 not out to his credit.
