THREE-POINT WIN FOR FORMER HUGHES COMPILES CENTURY. At the Basin on Saturday Old Boys obtained a tllree-poiiit win over Hutt On the first innings. When stumps were drawn on the previous day Old Boys were all out for 317, while Hutt had three down for 76. Hughes, who had 30 to his credit, continued the innings with Aldersley, but the former fell after scoring a single. A bright partnership between Hughes and McKay saw the Century appear in good time. Hughes continued to bat well in spite of the of bowling, and had) 126 to hie credit before he was bowled by Lusk. His innings Was particularly fine and the crowd applauded his splendid display. Neazor, who is a promoted junior, seems to be finding his feet in senior cricket and played a nice innings for 23. while Shannahan, the not out basman, was responsible for a useful 30. The innings closed for 290, and Old Boys then took second strike. They had five down for 164 at the call of time. Ronaldson, who is now showing better form than at the beginning of the season, made 48 not out, while Stamton compiled a useful 37. "Mr Extras came to light with 36.
