TRADE WITH FOXTON
NEW OIL STEAMER ORDERED. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., January 24. Tile Canterbury S.S. Company bps ordered a new 800-ton oil burner for the Foxton trade The vessel is undor construction, and will arrive from England in nine months time. The vessel will immediately be oommirsioned to develop trade of the port with other ports, and is specially designed, to meet the needs of the port of Foxton and will be one of the first oil-burning coastal vessels in the Dominion It will be Equipped with Diesel engines, have a speed of ten knots, and a draught of 8J feet when fully loaded
