HOSPITAL BOARD THANKS. FINE CHRISTMAS EFFORTS Receipt of £5 fer a surgical boot from the Junior British Red Cross Society, Wellington, and £75 from the Wellington Commercial Travellers’ Association for inmates of the children’s hospital, were acknowledged by the Wellington Hospital Board yesterday. The chairman, Mr F. _ Castle, expressed the hoard’s appreciation of the assistance given by the Red Cross Society in connection with patients in the hospital, and added that it was very gratifying to receive a large sum from the Commercial Travellers’ Association for the benefit of the children in the hospital and institutions. The association was also establishing a permanent fund which would be of con sideraiblo value in the future. The board greatly appreciated the work of the association. It was decided to send letters of thanks to both organisations.
