DAIRY FRODUCE BOARD
PROGRESS OF THE COUNT. It is expected that the counting of the rotes cast by North Island suppliers in the ballot for the election of the Dairy Produoo Export Control Board will be completed on Mandator Tuesday. The staff of tho DeputyChief Returning Officer (Mr G. G. Hodgkins) worked all day Saturday and continued until 11 o’clock at night when operations were suspended until this morning. Up to the present the candidates on the “ticket” are leading. The process of counting the rotes is taking some little time owing to the fact of there being a large number of candidates '27), and that some of the ballot papers are not clearly marked, thus necessitating the exercise of particular care on the part of the electoral staff.
