BANKER’S TWO WIVES

MUTUAL HELP IN DIVORCE. RECORD IN PUBLICITY. NEW YORK, December 3. Mrs Florence Leeds and Mrs James A. Stillmann, both of whom were formerly the wives of James A. Stillmann, the prominent New York banker, have established a new record in divorce publicity. Mrs Stillmann was accused by her husband of infidelity with an Indian guide, named Fred. Beauvais, while on a camping trip, during which she was staying in a hunting lodge in the wilds of Quebec. Mr Stillmann declared that Beauvais was the real father of her baby boy, Guy. Mrs Stillmann offered an emphatic denial to these accusations. None the less, the hunting lodge is still a haunt of hers. To-day she announced her return from the lodge to New York, with a congratulatory letter to Mrs Leeds, thanking her for her support against Mr Stillmann. Mrs Leeds, meanwhile, has set up a millinery establishment. Mrs Stillmann graciously proposes to buy all her new hats there, and to send along as many of her friends as possible
