I OIL COMPANY’S CLAIM. JUDGMENT UPSET. Heater’s Tsleorram. LONDON, November 23. The House of Lords has awarded the Standard Oil Comapny, of New York, £111,236 damages against the Clan Line of steamers for loss of cargo aboard the Clan Gordon, a turretbuilt ship which turned turtle and sank on a voyage from New York to China * The Standard Oil Company was originally awarded £98,000 by a lower court of Scotland, but the Court of Session upset the judgment, which tho House of Lords has now restored with an increased award.
