“ GIVE IT A GO ”
AN INTREPID PORTER. HIGHWAYMAN FLEES. Ps*r ProM Association. ASHBURTON, November 24. Percy Noble, aged 24, a porter in the Somerset Hotel, when walking in the domain last night was suddenly confronted by » man six feet in 'stature, who sprung from behind a tree and demanded money. Noble, who is also six feet, seeing his assailant apparently unarmed said that “he’d give it a go,” The man thereupon decamped. Noble, jvhoee pockets held considerable money, informed the police, who are now rounding up undesirables.
