Mr T. C. Lowry, a New Zealander, has been elected captain r the Cambridge Circket Club. He is the first Dominion student. since Snmmy Woods was elected, over 30 years ago, to occupy the office.
Mr T. C. Lowry is a son of Mr T. H. Dowry, llie well-known Hawke’s Bay landowner and racing enthusiast. Since going to England he has become a successful. batsman, playing for Cambridge University and Somerset. Playing for the 'Varsity last season his average was 18.80 for five innings. He was sixth in the list of batting avorages for Somerset, with 24.86 for 25 innings. Early this year lie. toured New Zealand as a member of A. C. Mac Loren’s team. WELLINGTON CRICKET LEAGUE.
