Pa<ldy Hannan has received a letter from PacUlon, statin? that the latter refused to row for the world’s sculling championship unless the race is rowed on the Wanganui River. Hannon, it, is said, had made all arrangements for the race to bi rowed at .Auckland, relying on Paddon s previous agreement to row in New Zealand provided «£3OO expenses was allowed. Hannan now is disposed to accept McDevitt’s offer to row for the Australasian Championship at Auckland in Januuary.
