MANAGING DIRECTOR RESIGNS.

Mr W. G. McDonald, managing director, Distributors, Ltd., ended his connection with that company yesterday. He will resume practice a® a barrister and solicitor at Christchurch. Mr McDonald will be better remembered by the general public as former chairman of the Board of Trade, to which he was appointed in 1916, and elected chiiirmaii a few weeks later. Be was first appointed for three years, and at the end of that time for another year. When the Board of Trade Act was passed li9 was appointed for five years. Be was also Wheat Controller. Be resigned from the Government service on November Ist last in order to take up the managing directorship of the then newly-formed Distributors, Ltd.
