NEARING COMPLETION

THE COASTAL ROAD. BALANCE FOR NEXT YEAR, Good progress is being made in the construction of the Breaker Bay road along the foreshore from Lyall Bay to Seatoun, a “New Zealand Times” reporter was informed yesterday. The work proposed to be done is now almost finished, an excellent metal road has been laid down, and awaits the final work of construction. The total length of road when it is finished will be something like twice as far as the present one; but this will not Jje done until next year, when negotiations for the purchase or appropriation of necessary property have been completed. This final piece of work will complete the coast drive, which now extends the better part of the distance around Wellington.
