ALLEGES THEFT

CHARGE AGAINST CARRIER. Asking for a remand until Wednea day next in the case of Edmund Robinson, a carrier, aged 38, who was charged with stealing five rolls of crepe de chine, valued at £SO, and belonging to some person unknown, the chief-detective explained in the Police Court yesterday that the accused had been arrested by Detectives McLennan and Jarrold, and was appearing for an alleged indictable offence. Mr W. E. Leicester, representing accused, applied far bail, which was granted in the sum of £IOO and one surety fo£ that amount.
