OPPOSITIONISTS ARRESTED. ON CHARGE OF INTRIGUE. Renter's Telegram. (Received October 11, 5.5 p.m.) TEHERAN, October 10. The Persian Minister of War has initiated strong measures against his political opponents by arresting Quamiea (ex-Premier) and other prominent leaders, on a charge of intriguing to secure his downfall.
The arrest® have caused much extitement.
Kabul reports state that Abdul Ab Khan, formerly Afghan Consul-General at Tashkent, has been assassinated.
