TRADE WITH RUSSIA

CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY’S MOVE. WHEAT SHIPMENTS. Australian and N.Z. CabU Association LONDON, October 10. In connection with the efforts to restore the Russian wheat export, the Co-operative Wholesale Society of Britain is associating itself with the Soviet Government and the Russian Consumers’ Society and other important British importing and brokerage firms. It is proposed that shipments of wheat be sent from Russia against capital, which the combine is subscribing, and that payments be made out of this capital, which will not leave the country, except for the direct settlement of accounts rendered. If the scheme is successful it will be applied to skins and other Russian raw materials.
